Expert Solution

Air conditioning unit: Temperature sensing and actuating thermostat and airflow accordingly.

Smart watch: Based on bluetooth communication, it senses health parameters such as step-count, sleep analysis and communicates to the smart phone.

Smart phone: Can be called as a small scale computer system. It implements a wide variety of algorithms for sensing, communicating, calculating, reading, writing etc.

Electricity meter: Monitors, the current flow and records power consumption for the circuitry in home.

At the simplest, one can use calculator and describe binary addition, subtraction and other mathematical operations that are implemented.
