Quality management in healthcare is as important as in any other sector such as manufacturing or services. The foremost important in quality management strategy is that the top management must be committed towards creating a ecosystem where the quality mission is clearly communicated to employees and inspire them to continuously improve the quality of their outcomes. Healthcare services usually rely more on human intervention than machine enabled treatments and to err is human. However, the safety of patients and providing quality treatment must be the paramount strategy to ensure excellent results. This can be achieved through strong leadership and management, education and training of medical staff on an ongoing basis, employee management, patient management and through resource and process management. The organization must develop treatment plans wherein there are goals established for each individual patient, the resources are identified for achieving the goals and the plan is periodically evaluated and needs are restablished. Also, data is critical in maintain quality health care and to take decisions that are relavant, sustainable and can be monitored. Another strategy to develop a quality management is to get employees identify barriers to error free work and reward such employees to keep them motivated and aim at reduction in errors.
