Expert Solution

By net neutrality we mean where there is no discrimination in providing internet service to any subscriber by the Internet service provider(ISP).

The Net Neutrality was introduced to eradicate the discrimination in the service provided by the ISP. It was having an objective to promote equity among the subscriber.

Before, net neutrality was introduced the ISP used to discriminate in the Internet services provided to different segments of people on the basis of charges, regions etc.

Recently in India one of the Telecom Gaint was summoned because they had introduced a plan which was discriminatory. Under the new plan they had promised to provide premium services such as high speed internet it is basically discriminatory thus it was challenged by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

In other words we can say Net Neutrality means promoting no discrimination policy.
