How might changes in the net neutrality rules directly impact businesses?
How might the proposed changes indirectly affect businesses through their customer base?
How, if at all, should the rules controlling “net neutrality” be modified? Explain fully.
Answer= The absence of net neutrality can have a negative impact on the businesses. In the absence of net neutrality, some sort of priority can be given to certain types of traffic by the ISPs, while they can meter other types of traffic or in fact, can block other traffic from facilitating some specific types of services. There may also be the incidence that the customers have to pay to use some specific types of services.
Answer = The proposed change in net neutrality will reduce the customer base of the businesses as many customers may not be willing to pay for using the services which are provided at present with no cost
Answer = In my opinion, the rules which are prevailing at present for the net neutrality should be made more user friendly and ore transparency must be included. No attempt to divert or clock the traffic by any IS should be tolerated. The treatment of all the net users should be equal and no preference or priority should be given to any user. The focus should be on facilitating equal and similar service
