What does WBC test in the urinay analysis test for, if my patient has atrial fibrillation and kidney diease does it relate to that?
WBC's are also known as leucocytes.these are the central part of
our immune system.they will help to protect our body against
foreign substances, microbes, and infectious diseases.
High leukocyte levels means that the body is trying to fight an
infection.
Normally very low level of leucocytes are found in urine.
High leucocytes indicates that they have infection or inflammatory
problems.
Bladder infection, kidney stones, kidney infections, urinary system
blockage, holding in urine are the common causes of leucocytes in
the urine.
This can be cause raise the level of leucocyte in urine.
If a patient heave kidney disease the number of WBC in the urine
can be increased. So inflammation can be occur.
So inorder to identify whether there is extended level of infection
in kidney can be identified by WBC test in the urinary analysis
test.
The inflammatory markers are associated with atrial
fibrillation.
WBC count is the most utilised marker for systemic
inflammation.
WBC count is positively and linearly associated with atrial
fibrillation.
Atrial fibrillation typically based on ECG changes.Increase in WBC
calculared as diffarence in WBC during hospitalization and WBC at
hospital admission
Clinical variables in examining the association between WBC causes
atrial fibrillation.
Increase in WBC during hospitalization furthe used to predict new
onset of atrial fibrillation in these patients.
