IV adenosine
IV adenosin can be dangerous if given to atrial fibrillation patient. This medicine will slow abnormal rhythm but not eliminate aftrail fibrillation or atrial flutter. So, this medicine is not a good choice of this patient.
Anti- coagulant therapy
Anti- coagulant therapy usually given to cardiomyopathy patient if he or she have atrial fibrillation. In your case you experienced afrial fibrillation but your body is unresponsive to drug therapy for seven days. So obviously this treatment is not best for you.
Emergency cardioversion
If patient is not responded to pharmacotherapy, emergency cardioversion is next management to control abnormal rhythmes and angina and maintain blood pressure within normal range. It also help to prevent from heart failure. So, this treatment is suitable for you.
Permanant pacemaker
This small device prompt the heart to beat at a normal rate. If all medical management become fail then choose permanant pacemaker.
