HIM is information management applied to health and health care. It is the practice of aquiring the work and a new team for their analyzing and protecting digital and traditional medical information valid to providing quality patient care.

Patient co-ordinators must have exceptional communications skills and a thorough knowledge of medical terminology as well as health information technology.
