Longitudinal health record
Longitudinal health record is a comprehensive record of the patient's health status and it includes a clinical summary of a patient- based clinical experience and it is available in the EHR ( Electronic Health Records ) . It provides a more longitudinal and comprehensive view of patient's health that helps a physician to deliver quality health care to the patient , especially it is beneficial in case of chronic patients. It records the information from overtime and provides the holistic view of a patient's clinical history.
Benefits to the provider:
* It enables the independent physician to go through the previous conditions ,vital signs, lab reports so as to get a more longitudinal and comprehensive view of patient's health.
* It is easy for the providers to search for a specific information in the Longitudinal health record . Search results can obtain speedily in it.
* Abnormal values may highlighted with the flags in the patient chart.
