Discuss why is it so important that a form be well-designed? What types of problems can occur with poorly designed forms?

Designing of forms is so important as it reduces much of the efforts and increases efficiency based on quality and design of forms. Form should be like it is easily understandable and easy to fill by the public. Hence it's the duty to design the form in well structured manner so that in very less ambiguity forms are processed and managed well. The importance of form designing is must due to following concerns :

1. Forms are generally used to collect the data and communication process according to some expectaions, therefore forms are kind of medium to gather information and treated as a tool in office work.

2. Forms make impact on user's or filler's mind, if the form is easy and understandable user will fill it without hesitation hence we can say that it creates some psychological impact.

3. If the form are designed badly then number of chances of mistakes will be more and effort and efficiency to check that data will also be increased.

4. Properly designed forms create positive impact of the company on the customers otherwise it affect adversely.

5. Forms should be designed according to the need of the system, if these forms are badly designed it will ruin the system.

If the forms are badly designed some problems may arise :

1. It will reduce the speed of operation of office work.

2. People like to fill forms easily without hesitation hence the more hassles in the form will lead to bad impact of the company or system.

3. Well designed forms contribute in the efficiency of the company hence if they are not proper it will impact on efficiency of the company.

4. There will be critical mistakes while collecting data from improper designed forms.
