When do you use a quantitative and qualitative research

Solutions

Expert Solution

Qualitative Research is used for finding trends in thought and opinions, and diving deeper into the problem. Qualitative data collection methods use both the unstructured or semi-structured techniques. This method is used for gaining an understanding of the reasons that are underlying, developing opinions, and motivations. It develops insights into the problem as it develops ideas or hypotheses for potential quantitative research.  Quantitative research is the empirical investigation of observable phenomena that uses the statistical, mathematical, or computational techniques. Thus it is used for any empirical investigation of a phenomenon.
