Angina pectoris is a chest pain occurs due to myocardial ischemia.Ischemia occurs due to inadequate supply of blood and oxygen.

Nursing care include the following things.

a. Pain assessment and medication administraton as per prescription.(Nitroglycerine can be administered).And watch the response.

b. Administer oxygen by nasal canula or face mask according to the clnical status of the patient.

c.Ensure bed rest and limitation in activity.

d.Continous cardiac monitoring.

e. Obtain an ECG and repeat accordingly

f. Hystory collection.

g. Health education should be  given according to the condition and hystory. Educate the client about the importance of dietery changes,exercise, harmful effect of smoking. If needed changes in the lifestyle recommended.

h. Explain about the early detection of chest pain,when to seek medical advise, importance to continue the mdications after the discharge.

i. Provide psychological support to alleviate fear and anxiety.

j. Explain and educate the family .

k. Proper documentation.
