Using professional jargon
Using leading or biased questions
Talking too much
Interrupting
Using “Why” questions
FALSE ASSURANCE ;- false assurance is something a nurse might give to a patient in an effort to comfort or encourage them , but in reality is not based in fact either , For example ;- saying to a patient that everthing will be fine and will probably work out for the best when in fact , the nurse really has no idea if this is true . or not .
USING AUTHORITY ;- The definition of an authority isan public organisation that controls an area or certain activities . For example;- a corporation that provides bus service ina city is an example of a transit authority .
USING AVOIDANCE LANGUAGE ;- avoidance language is the use of euphemisms to avoid reality or to hide feelings . for example ,;- " eat their youngs " by engaging in destructive displays of conflicts to teach power ,authority and status to newcomers . Other nurses engage in conflict avoidance that allows problems to fester and permits harsh behaviour to continue unchecked . nurses may also find themselves experiencing conflict in forms of passive - aggressivness , purposeful violation of practice standards , backstabbing and bullying ,So , in this such situation nurses choose to confront conflict are more likely to use constructive than destructive strategies .
DIATANCING ;-In nurse and patient communication , nurses have to compassionated communication while social distancing with the patient , Nurses have needed to adopt social distancing has becomes aprofessional for example ;- While giveing nursing services to the diabetes patient HIV patient nurses make some distancing with the patient , nurses have to separate the interpersonal and intra personnel relationship with the patient .
USING A PROFESSIONAL JARGON
During the process or other procedures nurses have to use or complete , by using terms or language that will not be comprehensible or at least will be hard to understand to the patient . for example ;- " I need script in order to pick up the medicine " Or " I need a nurse to room 12 stat" .
USING A LEADING OR BIASED QUESTION
One of teh biggest mistakes survey creators make is creating a question that ideals respondents to give the " correct " answer . The leading question negate our survey results , So , we want to stay away from them at all costs . for example;- How dumb is ( insert politician ) when it comes to foregin policy? This immediately brings a negative connotation to the question . Instead we might ask the question ;- Please describes your politician's position on foreign policy.
TALKING TOO MUCH
The quality of communication in interaction between nurses and patient has a major influnece on ptaient outcomes . Nurses speak to people of varying educational , cultural and social backgrounds and must do so in an effective caring and professional manner , poor communication can be dangerous and lead to confusion. Talking too much give a bad influence on the nursing professions.
INTERRUPING
The potential impact of interruptions and distraction includes medical and medication error , ineffective delivery of care, conflict , stress among health professionals , latent failures and poor outcomes . Forexample ;- Nurses should recognize that they do not have to do and be evrything in order to be recognized as responsible , accountable and competent nurses , Nurses are often so willing to own non- nursing work that it frequently pulls them away from their most essential role in health care delivery -- providing vigilant , expert nursing care at the bedside .
USING " WHY " QUESTION
In the nursing profession , mostly interview are fequently asked based on the "why " for example s;- "do you work well with other nurse , doctor and staff ? why " or " why these thing are putting in this alignment "
