1) Why do we get sick?
2) How would you assess that your client is at risk for eye disease?
3) How do the major components of each body system all interrelate to each other system?
4) List 2 symptoms of dehydration and the amount of fluids/day to ensure adequate hydration is maintained and helps to eliminate wastes from the body?
· We get sick when the physiological function of our body is impaired. It is basically because of any type of infectious agent or a prolonged medical condition. Bacteria, virus and other pathogens can make a person sick by causing fever, and body pain.
· Assessing the signs and symptoms of the patient can indicate presence of any eye problem. The risk of eye disease can be predicted by presence of sudden or severe eye pain, blurred vision, sudden bright floating spots, any type of flashes of light, seeing a curtain coming down the eye and seeing floating spider webs.
· All the major body systems inter relate to each other. These systems work together to keep the body healthy and functioning. Example, the coordinated action of the bones and muscles result in locomotion and movement. Combined action of the circulatory system results in carrying out the nutrients, water and oxygen throughout the body.
· Symptoms of dehydration are muscle cramps, dark yellow pee and headache. A person should have at least 2 liters of water to ensure proper hydration and eliminate body wastes.
