Nurse uses poor body mechanics and injures client
1) What do you assess first?
2) Who do you notify?
3) What type of form do you feel out?
4) What tpye of treatment needs to be scheduled?
Then there is need to maintain the safe movement of clients in & out of bed also from bed to chair and back. Train the patient and demonstrate for safe use of the wheeled stretcher. Then there is need to maintain the proper body alignment.
2. Nursing staff should notify the proper positioning of the body. The nursing staff is required educate and notify the clients for better use of proper body mechanics for safe walking & movement.
3. During such maintenance the nursing staff feels more and more low back pain than other healthcare professionals.
4. If the patient is injured their tendons muscles or ligaments will have affected hence the treatments should be based on the healing, there may be oedema and pain. Hence the treatment should include analgesic , anti-inflammatory and wound healing agents for better management of the above case.
