Describe changes that could be made to improve the status of women (in terms of promotion, salary, job placement, health insurance, etc.) in the workplace. Be sure to include mothers in the workplace in your discussion.

Answer - The changes that could be made to improve the status of women in the workplace are as follows -

1) Women should be given such a salary which is equivalent to that given to a male for the same work .

2) Women should be appointed at higher positions in the organisation . A position which is administrative and which requires thinking and analytical skills .

3) Women should be given holiday during pregnancy and must be paid for those holidays too .

4) Mothers who are working should be allowed to take transfers from their job as and when they require . Mothers should also be allowed to visit their homes in between of their work as and when they require .

5) Women should be provided free commute services from the organisation wherever they work .
