In terms of eugenics/genetic control, what type of argument could be made in favor of negative (or therapeutic) eugenics? What are some concerns? What type of argument could be made for positive (or enhancement) eugenics? What are some concerns? (It should be clear that you have read and considered the arguments that Sandel and Julian Savulescu have made on genetic control.)

Please answer all parts and include Sandel and Savulescu arguments in your answer.

Answer :-

Eugenics:- Eugenics is a movement that aimed at improving the genetics composition of the human race , eugenicist advocate selective breeding to achieve these goals.

Negative eugenics:- It's aimed to eliminate, through sterilization or segregation, those deemed physically, mentally, morally undesirable.

- This includes abortion, sterilization, and other methods of family planning, both positive and neagtive eugenics can be coercive.

For e.g :- Abortion was illegal for women deemed by the state to be fit.

Positive eugenics:-It means promoting the proliferation of good stock, positive eugenics refers to efforts aimed at increasing desirable traits.

Savulescu leading figures in the new eugenics argue that parents are morally obligated to use genetics and other technology to enhance thier children's. But the argument he give leads to conclusions even more radical than he acknowledge. Ultimately, the work it would lead to is not all that different from that championed by eugenicist one hundred year ago.

Julian savulescu has a knack for provocation. Take human cloning. He says most of us would readily accept it fit it benefits us .

As for eugenics creating smarter beautiful and strong babies he believes we have an ethical obligation to use advance d technology to select best possible children.

Julian Savulescu :- Says that "I actually think myself as the voice of commonsense.

Theory of eugenics :- The practice or advocacy of improving the human species by selectively mating people with specific desirable hereditary traits. It aims to reduce human suffering by breeding out disease disability and so called undesirable Characteristics from human population .
