Postpartum hemorrhage = Amount of blood loss in excess of 500 ml following birth of the baby otherwise we can say

" Any amount of bleeding from or into the genital tract following birth of the baby up to thhe end of the puerperium , which adversely affects the general condition of the patient evidenced by rise in pulse rate and falling blood pressure is called Postpartum Haemorrhage "

* Most common cause of PPH is Atonic uterus , Other cause such as Traumatic - Trauma of genital tract ,

Retained tissue , Blood coagulopathy etc.

* Advise to patient for improvement of health ststus - Keep the Hb level normal .

* Be Aware about any genital bleeding and immidate contact to health care facility and Nurse should assess the amont of blood and replace it.

* Provide Supportive therapy = Blood transfusion if necessary,

- To administer methergine 0.2 mg Intramuscularly, If the bleeding is uterine in origin

* To administer Antibiotic clindamycin and meteronidazole as a routin.

* Conservative Management - If the bleeding is slight and no apparent cause is detected , a careful watch for a period of 24 hours or so is done in the hospital.

* Advise the women for consume more amount of iron and folic acid high amount food for prevent anemia .

* Advise the women for take high fibers diet.

* Provide the psychological support to the women because after pph the women easily affected with mood disorder.

* Advise to women to intake more water to prevent dehydration after pph.

* Maintain hygiene and care of the wound after caesaean section and episiotomy.
