I put a lot of thought into this statement and I have to say that foods really are the best and safest source of the nutrients we consume including minerals, vitamins, and phytochemicals. When a person isn’t getting sufficient variety of foods, that could play a big part in them not getting all of what they need to maintain a healthy diet. I think the more variety the better. If a person can also avoid eating processed foods that come in  a can or that are already prepared for you, they wouldbe better off. Also staying away from fast foods is key as well. If you eat fresh food and a lot of people recommendorganic foods or whole grains and you check the labels of the types of ingredients or chemicals are in your food, you should be good to go. I for one, think that foods are very safe and natural. If you think about it with any supplement, you can overdose on it and they can be quite dangerous. It’s not very common to have a chemical or toxic overdose from a food.
