ANS: Four components of teaching for the client with TB
TB: Tuberculosis is a world wide public health problem.
Main Cause Of TB: Poverty, malnutrition, unhygenicity, overcrowding, substandard housing, and inadequate health care plan.
Four components of teaching :
1. Evidence-based care: To teach them best practice and develop enthusiasm regarding treatment of these diseases. Try to deal with a misconception of the spreading of diseases among the population by providing evidence-based care and their better results.
2. To develop a coherent and comprehensive management plan: This approach teach each patient by considering their wishes and needs, make better adjustments as necessary. To observe the principles of holistic care, and regular monitoring compliance and outcomes to improve quality of life. Teach them regarding drug resistance and their harmful impacts.
3. To arrange regular checkup and benefits from this: Teach them the benefits of regular checkups. It help to manage the side-effects of drug formulations, Teach them regular blood checkup benefits or occasionally arrange admission to hospitals.
4. Promotes TB based programs offline as well as online and seminars: It help to provide health education and health promotion especially in ruler areas. Teach the TB patient or suspected TB person, how take care themselves and surrounding residential. Provide adequate support to Patient and Their relatives or carers to prevent lapses in treatment.
Note: DOT: Direct-Observed Therapy: It is a supervised treatment in which a nurse visiting the patient at home three times in a week to evaluate the patient health progress, and provide proper medication or make record for proper monitoring.
