Answer: Epidemiology is one of the important part that could help in flattening the curve of the virus. The epidemiologist are being indulge in finding out the reasons for the outbreak. They also involves in the study of looking patterns of infectious, characteristics of the disease as well as the internal studies. The epidemiology enable us to find out the methods through which the rate of disease can be decreased or reduce. It also enables to decrease the risk of the disease.

Additionally, the epidemiology may help in reducing the spread of the infectious disease. One of the example such as, according to the epidemiological findings, Social distancing can reduce the transmission of the disease. So, with this method the risk of disease transmission can be minimized. The study also reveals about the duration of the virus survival on a certain things. Maintaining hand hygiene as well as personal hygiene can reduce the risk. The another example is that wearing mask could also minimize spread of infectious disease upto 80%. With the help of epidemiological study, it has been found that most of the people are asymptomatic and could transmit the disease to the other person.
