1. How important do you believe physical attraction is for obtaining a date? Why?
2. In what way or ways has the internet affected the process of dating?
3. How has the phenomenon of "extended adolescence" in our culture affected premarital sexuality?
In my view, physical attraction is perhaps one of the biggest factors in determining one’s ability to obtain a date. The first impression we form about others occurs based on their appearance. When it comes to selecting dates, we don’t have access to any information about the internal states of the individual, and therefore our selection is determined by how they appear to us. The more attractive an individual physically, the higher is their appeal to others.
The internarg has changed the dating scenario in several ways. It allows people to portray a polished virtual self to others, free of any apparent imperfections and flaws. There is also much more choice when it comes to choosing a date, as dating platforms are convenient and easily accessible. Furthermore, it has also made people less inhibited when asking for a date.
