Identification of Capstone Paper Topic
Instructions
Objective: Throughout this program, you have examined a variety of
leadership and change theories used in nursing practice, discovered
ways to utilize research to provide safe, evidence-based patient
care, and learned about the differences between an associate degree
and a baccalaureate degree.
The purpose of this final Capstone project is to demonstrate your ability to apply the concepts learned throughout this degree program.
Steps
Identify a health problem, need, or opportunity for growth in your
current practice environment, community, or another clinical area

discuss a new process improvement strategy “Preventing
rehospitalization for orthopedic patients”)

Step 1- The issue is Non - availability of basic physiological needs to the patient and parents who come from far distant places to get the treatment in AIIMS.
Step 2 - An overview of the situation
I work in AIIMS ,pediatric oncology department where thousands of parents come everyday with their child's to get the treatment for cancer . They come from far distant sites for the country . Most of them are from Bihar ,Uttar Pradesh etc .People from across the countries too come for example Nepal . For them it's a new place , new locality, new life . Already they are worried about their child's health issue and along with that new location is a tuff task for them . I have seen that many parents with their child live at the sides of the streets without proper food ,water, sanitation, hygiene ,electricity etc facilities . These childrens are already immunocompromised and living in such conditions worsens the situation more and makes the medical interventions worthless . To prevent this there should be an initiative for provision of the basic physiological needs to the patient's who are not a citizen of the same city and coming for the treatment from distant places . For this government organizations ,NGO based organisation etc should be implemented to help these patients and their family and it's important because all these makes them physiologically ,psychologically and financially drained out as well as it affects their health and after all parents should be healthy enough to take care of their children and for getting them the treatment .
The stakeholders involved in this are :-
- government
- NGO's
- non profit organisation
Private profit organization
To initiate this there is economic regarding fundings for the initiative of such organisation which should be sorted by the government by providing support and funding for such organization . There are no ethical and social issues for the procedure . It's about the physiological needs ,the basic needs which is required by every human beings to live . Setting up such organisation will be so much helpful for these patients and families and will help them to get the treatment effectively and and go back to their natives .
