Kepler-442b is a confirmed near-Earth-sized exoplanet. It is said to be rocky, orbiting within the habitable zone of the K-type main-sequence star. The planet was taken as being one of the most Earth-like planets, in terms of size and temperature. This planet shows the presence of liquid water.
