What gender challenges do women face in the workplace?
It is not wrong to say that there exists many challenges in a women's life not only in personal but also in the professional workplace. We can count and count and being living in 2020, there still exists no end treating women equally as men for their roles in the organisation. Here are few challenges faced by women in the organsiation:
1. Equal Pay: Many Women in the organisation are still not entitled to get equal pay in the organisation for the same work she has been doing apart from the legal laws made to represent the same issue. Not giving them the pay they deserve degrade their morale and motivation to perform better.
2. Race Bias: Many women from different races and cultures often face mistreatment and discrimination in the organisation because their culture or race is considered to be small. This treatment is again one of the challenges for the women to face when they go out in the organisations to work
3. Not Same Designated Roles: Many a times it has be seen that many roles are male oriented roles like Sales Head or Mechanical Head and women are not being offered job at those respective areas even if they have specified skills. Thus, this discrimination against the specified roles creates a hinderance in the performance by the women.
4. Sexual Harassement: One of the biggest challenege all around the world that 1/1000 women report a sexual harassement case in the organisation for the misbehaviour she has been facing with herself. This is a shameful act and women are becoming more and more victims of such acts which demotivates them to work.
5. Ability to be a Leader: At last, many people in the organisations cannot imagine woman as being a leader. A leader should be dominant and confident and everyone imagines a male to be a leader and not a woman thus which again doesn't make a woman to grow further for her job.
