Health care wokers are those who delivers care and services to sick. Health care facility is a workplace as well as a place for receiving and giving care.

The health care workers especially the nurses are more concerned with doing their job well in a good environment than with the amount of money they make.

The common challenges faced by health care workers are mainly staff shortage, poor salary, work overload, lack of psychological support,politics, lack of sufficient training, lack of knowledge in the areas of research, lack of technical knowledge and poor organization support.

• Lack of psychological support: The health care workers needs mentoring while during stress.
• Politics: The departmentalization and partiality among workers makes the professional ego and enhances work stress.
• Lack of sufficient training: Inadequate training can leave employees frustrated and confused about their job description. Sufficient training is essential to improve the job performance and there by increases the job satisfaction.
• Lack of knowledge in the areas of research: Now a days the evidence based practice have more importance in the health profession. So the health care workers should engage in new research acitivies and promote the publication of resaerch findings. Then only the professional standards will increase. Hence proper training in the field of research utilization is also needed.
• Lack of technical knowledge: Todays we are in technical world. All the hospital records are computerized. So technological knowledge is needed for the smooth work.
• Lack of organizational support: In the case of any legal issues related to the patients, sometimes the organizations do not support the health care workers. This will create huge work pressure.

Now, the health care workers at the forefront of the war against coronavirus are facing challenges in their work.
