  • The falling may causes fracture of arms, injury, cuts or bruises
  • Check the patient's breathing, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Check for injury, such as cuts, scrapes, bruises, and broken bones.
  • Ask the patient for any discomfort.
One of the clients goes missing on your shift.
  • Adequate explanation need to be given regarding the missing. If the reason is not genuine it may affects the profession
  • Take appropriate action in timely manner
  • Establish the principles of recognition and search for patients missing from the ward or hospital.
  • Inform the nurse leader immediately
  • Identify the patient and inform the relatives
  • Complete the checklist of missing patient and enter all the details.
  • Keep the record: Make the incident report. Proper documentation is necessary.
