Corporate practice of medicine follows below listed policies:
1. Any business organization or co-orporation are restricted from practising medicine, but these policies differ from state to state.
2. Even they are not allowed to hier a physician to provide any kind of medical facilities or services in certain states.
3. The rules and guidelines differ betweem states to states when it comes to CPOM policy, like for example certain states doesn't gives permission of any sort of medical practises without having authorised license to practise medicine for licensed hospitals.
4. Following guidelines of corporate practise of medicine helps to understand the one to one relation of the physician with their healthcare organizations.
Reason behind not following these policies in all states:
1. In some states CPOM comes under written legislative law and regulation and in certain states like Alaska, Arizona etc. corporate practise of medicine guidelines are not followed.
2. Lack in sufficient amount of money and fundings may lead to flexibility in following guidelines of CPOM from state to state.
3. As following CPOM policy can effect large group of hospitals and healthcare sector that's why certain hospitals allow physician to practise under corporate business policy too by making certain things mandatory like having certified license for physician to practise medicine strictly.
