Wear and tear theory explains that there is gradual and progressive damage happens to body and cells. It states that parts of the body gradually and eventually wears out, from repeated use and thus body moves into ageing process.

Cellular ageing theory explains on the concept that human ageing is due to cellular ageing. The body reaches into a stage in which the cells stops the division process. So that if any damages happens cells will not regenerate. The cell division gradually slows in successive division and it reaches into a stage in which no more cell division happens in the body. The body will not respond to any type of disease or injury.

Once they wear out the cells will nolonger fuctions in wear and theory whereas In cellular ageing theory, the cells does not divide and function gradually, which leads into ageing process.
