labor union: a group or organisation of people who works as a mediator between labors and the business firm or works as a representative of labors.

purpose of labor union :

• the purpose of labor union is to protect the rights of labors at work place
• the purpose of the labor union is to protect labors from exploitation and make sure that they get fair wages for their living
• the purpose of labor union is to negotiate with the employer on behalf of labors for their safety at work place, medical benefits, retirement benefits and favorable working conditions etc.    
• the purpose of the labor union is to maintain the peaceful and cordial relation between the labors and the business firm   

Unions have changed our lives today in many ways as there are a lot of laws and benefits we are enjoying which are due to the long lasting fights and protests of the labor unions. Labor union have fought for our rights so that we can get proper working conditions and other benefits from the business firms. we are enjoying the benefits like 2 days off in the week, paid leaves, minimum wages, social security, laws against discrimination etc due to the labor unions.

the labor unions in America have been useful for the labors as the labor unions have had fought many times to protect the rights of the labors at work place so labors have been always in the favors of labor union in America while they becomes problem for the business firms as firms want to take most from the labors but wants to give less and also due to the protests and negotiation from the labor unions they have to provide many benefits to the labors which increases their cos of production so the firms are against the existence of labor unions between labors and firms.
