Commitee:

A committee is a group of organization members who derive solutions to the problems. The hospital committee is guided by a physician who addresses the issue related to the management of the patient care, the operational and financial management.

Different Kinds of Committee:

Medical staff committee: It consists of an elected person of the medical staff and the president of medical staff. The chairperson of the various department, physician, and Nursing director are included in this committee. the purpose of this committee is to coordinate the activities of the medical staff in patient care and address the medical issues.

Ethic committee: It is a committee appointed by the medical executive board. The members included doctors, nurses, social workers. The purpose is to develop an ethical principle and guidelines and recommends the hospital be followed. It also addresses the ethical issue related to the patient care.

Infection Control Committee: It contains members from various disciplines of healthcare within the organization such as physicians, surgeons, nursing staff, quality management, microbiologist, sterilization personnel. The main purpose is prevention and control of infection by successful monitoring, planning, and evaluation of the infection control practices in the organization.

Medical Record Committee: This committee review the medical records for timely completion. It also reviews the clinical relevance and the quality of the treatment.

Pharmacy and therapeutic committee: The medical staff advisory group review the pharmacy programme and gives approval. It also reviews the medical formulation data.
