What are your thoughts on using misleading
information on those with underdeveloped cognitive issues
(thinks/acts like a child)?

Expert Solution
Children or people who think like a child observe the people
around them in various ways.
They are surrounded by a lot of influential people like
parents,characters on television,peers etc.
These models provide children to observe their behaviours and
even imitate them which can both pro or anti-social.
For example, television is considered to be the most powerful
source for children about products.
Children are vulnerable to persuasive advertising since they
lack the knowledge and experience to evaluate things shown on
television.
Advertisements can both be misleading as well as informative as
well for a child.
Parents or people who have more understanding and knowledge
need to help children and people who have low understanding by
providing them with information about what is misleading and what
is correct.
Also government should too play a part in misleading
advertising by addressing the issue and providing cautionary
messages.
Advertisers need to be more careful while making advertisements
by understanding that the people watching television or reading
newspapers are a mixed bag,not everyone would be able to understand
the message they show. They need to stop exploiting the imaginative
quality of children.
