What is your opinion on the basic issues in child development? Include your thoughts on whether development is universal or different for each individual? Is the process continuous or discontinuous? What aspects are difficult to change and which are relatively easy to change? Give examples of this and state which is most influential nature or nurture?

The basic issue in child development are genrally described below

1.Genes provide blue print for all behaviours.. many genetically diseases has found like marfan syndrome,cystic syndromesicklecell anima etc which restrict in development of child.Besides some development present from birth and pre-programme change with age.for example, piaget gives theory of cognitive development, if development is not take place in particular stage then child will be failed to cognitive development and can not able to manipulate abstract thinking.

2.Environment play key role of development in child.the basic issue in development of child may be enviroment.Behaviourist j.b watson said that ""ÿou give me a dozon of child , i will make them as you desire"'.so it is showed that if a child is not get proper environment for interaction, then his language and social development does not take place.

3.Maladjustment is another key aspect which hinderence child development.child belong from broken families, does not fullfill psychological need such as love ,affection and low socio- economic status of parents causes maladjustment.

4.Development is quality aspect.such children who have physical disabilities are not properly developed due to negetive attitude of society,inferiority complex, and low self-esteem.

development is different from each other.because all children are not equally developed at a same parameter.every child have distinictive characterstics of development and also development influence through various factor such as good home and school environment, emotionnal stablity etc.which is not equally affected by everyone.

development is both qualitatitive and quantitive.development is continous in terms of quality but when its deal with stage then its discontinous process. a child after certain stage can not developed in physically .but it is also true that development is continous process that never stop.the real difference between two camps is degree of magnification that each applied in its study with the stage theorists taking a more distant but broder stance and continous theorist viewing things from up close.

Quantitive aspect of development is very difficult to change.for exammple, a boy height is 6 feet . we can not ever change his hight.on the another qualitive aspect,the child develop knowlge, abilities, experience which can be vary time to time and can be easily change also.

today most resrcher agree that child development involve a complex interaction of both nature and nurture.quantitive development of child mostly depend on heridity factor.For example, the timing of when the onset of puberty occurs is largely the results of heredity, but environmental factors such as nutrition can also have an effect.In development process, nature is play vital role .The most common type of chromosomal disorder is known as down syndrome.Individuals with Down syndrome may face other physical problems including heart defects and hearing problems.so if a child is genetically suffered such kind of diseases then its really hard to proper development.But one the hand if child is not get suitable environment to explore his inner capablities then development also does not take place. so a balance and sophisticated development ,the role of nature and nurture is indespensible.
