a.Economic impact of drug use and abuse -legal/moral .
The drugs which are mostly used are opiates,stimulants,hallucinogens first will harm the individual ,then it bacomes an addiction to them.
eg: alcohol consumption is allowed,but those who misuses for the pleasure,mental therapy,artistic inspiration and the religious enlightment leads to problems in the society.economic deprivation with the addiction that causes the low productivity of the nation and extra expenditure for the diseases caused by this alcoholism .

b.Economic impact of drug use and abuse-medical/health .
eg;substance abuse,usually the opioids,barbiturates,benzodiazepines and cocaine etc when used unnecessarily in the medical profession ,it creates psychological problems and also social problems.
drug misuse of sedatives,anxiolytic and stimulants common use in high economic groups .Chronic use of certain substances causes to change in the central nervous system,once they stop taking these substances it leads to withdrawl symptoms.
They spend lot of money on these unhealthy habits and causes to presonal ,family disturbances which leads to social burden and psychiatric illnesse even.

c.Economic impact of drug use and abuse-psychosocial or socio cultural.
family system theory is closely related to psychosocial theory of addiction.Individuals learn the behaviour from others in social learning theory.
eg:In a family,if the father have the habit of drinking,the influence will be on the son,at some stage of his life son also get motivated by the father behaviour of drinking.even some times the people who imitates their models also tries in same way and causes to develop maladaptive behaviours.
Its not only learning the habits of others but also causes financial burden to families and problems in the society.
