Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans :-1) Humans have complete digestive system with specialized organs like stomach, small intestine etc. These different organs do different jobs, allowing for more efficient absorption of nutrients. Due to presence of different organs, food is digested efficiently and completely in different organs.

Ans :-2) The salivary gland, liver, gall bladder and pancreas are not the part of digestive system but have role in digestive activities and are considered accessory organs. Each of these organ either secretes or stores substances that pass through ducts in alimentary canal.

The function of these organs are :-

Saliva moistens the food and begins chemical digestion process.

The liver secretes bile to emulsify fats in small intestine.

The gall bladder stores bile.

Pancreatic juice breaks down fat, protein and carbohydrates.

Ans :-3) Extracellular digestion is a process in which animal feed by secreting enzymes through the cell membrane onto the food.

Extracellular digestion take place outside the cell.
