Expert Solution

The rating of perceived exertion (RPE) is the measure of physical activity intensity level. It tells about the physical sensations a person experience during a physical exertion like increased heart rate, increased breathing, increased sweating and muscle fatigue. This scale helps to evaluate the cardiac function during a physical exertion like fitness training. It is a best tool to identify when one has to increase and one has to slow down his intensity of training. This will help the trainers at fitness centers to train the people with poor cardiac function and to identify the health issues present.

It KINESIS training utilizes four machines ghat uses different points of contact and handles to challenge our body in all three plaines. It involves both upper and lower body challenges like half squat, full squat, lunges and lunge to crane.

  • These exercise helps build the balance, core and strength.
  • It improves once stamina i.e the energy to sustain an activity.
  • It also reduces stress, increase fat metabolism.
  • It also improves the delivery of oxygen and removal of waste products.
  • In order to perform activities like lifting heavy objects, pulling ourselves from chair etc requires a good ability in our muscles to exert a good force against the resistance. This is called strength.
  • Good strength will help to prevent injuries, maintain good posture and to remain independent.
  • These exercises improves the flexibility of our joints, so helps to avoid injuries, reduces low back pain, maintaining posture and balance.

Differences between KINESIS training and weight machines:

  • In the traditional weight machine, the weight moves in only one direction but in KINESIS training, the movement of 360 degree is possible.
  • The weight machines cannot be used by older active adults as it can cause injuries whereas the kinesis training modules make it easier.
  • The weight machines are boring compared to kinesis training which helps to take different movements and makes it interesting.

In order to take laps equivalent to one mile, it depends on the size of the track. Usually the track is 1/4 mile track which means you need to take a 4 lap to equal one mile.
