Hi,
Hope you are doing well!
Question:
Answer:
Environment:
The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates. The environment is the natural world, as a whole or in a particular geographical area, especially as affected by human activity.
Global Warming:
It is the change in average temperatures worldwide/globally. Its also a type of climate change by which temperatures of the world is increasing. Increasing average temperatures thermal expansion and melting of glaciers and ice sheets, and warming of the ocean surface, increasing see level, increased temperature stratification, flood, drought and desert area, heart disease, stress level etc. Millions of people have affected by it, mostly from the poor nations and developing nations. Millions of lives are at risk, number of cities has entered into the danger zone because of increasing see level. People are dying and suffering from danger disease like, lung infection, TB, and other heart disease.
Factors Affect the Global Warming:
The main reason of global warming is CO2 gas emission. The world has change fast and countries are gotten industrialized fast. Production of goods have increased sharply. People consuming habits have changed. Population of the world have increased fast. Economy is improved and people's income level has increased so, now they are spending/consuming more that increased the demand of goods and increasing demand boost production. Using of natural resources at its pick level. Country are living in a very competitive world and facing cut through competition. But other side natural resources is limited. Increasing transportation, trading, production, consumption, and other economic activities have increased the use of natural resources at wide level. These all the economic and social activities have increased the CO2 emission globally that badly affect the global environment.
Primary Drivers of Human Environmental Impact by the Using of IPAT:
IPAT:
The IPAT Equation is an attempt to describe the impact of population, affluence and technology on the environment
Where,
I = P*A*T
I = Total Environmental Impact
P = Population
A = Affluence (affluence and refers to the level of consumption by that population)
T = Technology
As per the equation total environmental impact is result of impact of population, affluence and technology.
Population: It is size of human population. We all know that the population of the world grown rapidly. This time more than 760 crores people are living on this planet. The population growth rate of poor and developing nation is comparatively very high. Only in China and India, more than 270 crores people are living. That increase the use of resources and consumption of goods. That increased the emission of CO2 globally.
Increasing population boost the influence level (affluence is refers to the level of consumption by that population) people more population means more demands of goods and services that also increase the consumption level. Now most of the Asian and other African countries grown fast that increase the income level of their citizens that boost there spending capacity that increased the demand and consumption of goods and services there. These days the life style or living of standard of the people has changed that changed their consuming behavior. Now people are spending more on white goods of luxuries items. The use of natural resources is more in producing of these type of products. Others side high consumption level is creating more and more waste that is affecting environment badly.
Other side increasing demand has encouraged or boosted the increasing supply level or production level. That encourage and appreciate the technology revolution. Producers are more using of capital as a substitute of labor to reduce the cost and increase the productivity and profit level. That means its also increase the production of capital and encourage technology development. These all the things have emitted more CO2 and created more and more wastage and damaged water, air and soul badly.
So, according to me, "P" is a primary drivers of human environmental impact.
