  1. The survey of income and program participation is a statistical survey. It gathers informations in the form of panel data from all the households comprised in the population. It uses multistage-stratified sampling method and involves respondents of 15 years or older. It collects data regarding income and economic well being of people. In addition to this it also collects data related to family dynamics,housing expenditure,diability etc. The response rate can suffer because of people being unducated.
  2. The consumer price index. It provides time series data. It measures the changes in the prices of consumer durable goods. It provides information about cost of living and involves the country's population. Probabilistic sampling or purosive sampling methods might be used.
  3. The current population survey is a monthly survey conducted by the Census bureau using a probability selected sample of about 60000 households. Based on the survey it publishes reports on the employment situation in the country.
