If a genetic test could indicate performance or offer ways to analyze potential issues with player safety it could guide young individuals, promote success and have a large financial payoff. Currently, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the governing body of college sports in the United States, has started to screen athletes for sickle cell trait. This mandatory genetic test is performed on athletes that could show complications of the disease when undergoing extensive bouts of extreme exercise.

I think genetic analysis used to screen athletes for health condition: use of genetic testing for sports performance include disease and injury prevention , talent identification,genetic predisposition,physical attributes, genetic diseases.
