Menu planing is one of the needed thing in hospital services,Provide adequate nutrition can help easy recovery of the patient.During the hospital stay they get specific attention to nutritional intake is requiared amount based on their needs.A menu is planned for the doctor or the dietitian based on their age,diet-related risk factor,patient weight,medical condition.Then to provide food in hospital will promote health and recovery and to improve good nutritional status of the patients. Hospital patients can be broadly categorised as Nutritionally vulnerable,Nutritionally well,Special or personal dietary needs,Requirement for a therapeutic diet and based on the group seperately planning menu considered as children,older people,end -of-life patients,people with learning and physical disabilities,maternity patients. - Principles Mainly 6 principles of good menu planning ,they are Balance,Variety,Choices,Contrast,Color,Appeal . In the hospital setting meal planning is selection of a menu for a patient,So that to consider the different things and then to planned out a menu for the patient so that they can follow these principle and make some changes rather than normal meal planning.
