Sexual discord indeed causes some serious problems in a relationship. One partner might be secretly disgruntled about the frequency of lovemaking, leading to resentment. This is more common in men than in women because of the way men are typically hard-wired, and partly because of the different roles men and women adopt in a marriage. This may cause further tension between the couple as the dissatisfied partner may show his disatisfaction in terms of anger, which will cause the couple to lose their peace of mind. This will also affect their communciation. Also, a certain pressure will be posed on the other partner to understand the needs of each other.

It is never good to have discord over sexual frequency because every person's body is different. Their needs, work load, stress, etc all are different and these factors play an important role in sexual desire. So, showing resentment over sexual discord is invalid. Instead, one partner should talk to the other regarding this issue, so that they both can understand each other's perspective.
