Based on the above bucket list: Please answer below questions:

  1. How do the wishes/goals on your bucket list relate to your values and identity? How would they help you achieve “ego integrity”? Are some wishes/goals more important in terms of fulfilling ego integrity than others, and if so, why? Discuss specific examples from your bucket list. Describe ego integrity in your response before applying it.

  2. What other developmental tasks or conflicts from Erikson’s psychosocial theory are reflected in your wishes/goals? If you haven’t yet resolved some of the tasks from earlier stages in your life or your current stage in life, you might find that you have a wish/goal that relates to fulfillment of the task. You can consider any stage, such as identify vs. role confusion (the task for adolescence), intimacy vs. isolation (the task for young adulthood), and generativity vs. stagnation (the task for middle adulthood). Make sure to relate specific wishes/goals from your bucket list to specific developmental tasks.

  3. Do you think you will have the same bucket list a decade from now? What about two decades from now? Why or why not? When answering these questions, assume that your wishes/goals have not yet been fulfilled.

Expert Solution

1)as the bucket list is the great integration of values and identity of the person so my packet lyf also integrates and reflects my values and identities in following ways:-

1.it reflects that I am adventure loving person and I love to travel places all over the world.

2. It also reflects my fearless and learning attitude to new activities.

3. Values that my bucket list reflects that care, love towards nature and responsibility towards society.

4. Ethical awareness is also reflected my bucket list.

2)the things in my bucket list are those which I wanted to do in my whole life that's why after doing them I feel fully satisfied with all the work that I did according to my bucket list.

So completing each of the objective according to my bucket list will add self satisfaction and self happiness in my inner heart that will automatically help to heal my ego integrity.

3)yes there are some wishes and goals more important in my bucket list in terms of healing ego integrity than others like:-

-having a beautiful home in Georgia.

-registering as a nurse.

-volunteer more

-road trip across USA

-visiting all Caribbean Islands

-learning motorcycle and swimming.

as ego integrity is defined as the things that a person do for himself to satisfy at later stages so that he will do not have any regret for not doing anything. Show the ego integrity will be taken in two senses in positive sense and negative sense both.

if the person achieve success in fulfilling objective of bucket list then there will be a feeling of Wisdom and if he fails to to fulfill then there is a feeling of despair.

4)development tasks and conflicts from erikson psychological theory are reflected in my wishes and goals are as follows:-

-generativity vs. stagnation (paying loans , buying home)

-adloscence(registration as nurse.

For explaining development task I will select generativity vs. stagnation conflict :-

when I will be grown up and making money by myself then there will be a situation in which I have to deal with the stigma that I should use that money to pay off my all loans and debits that I have taken for my education.

not only this my bucket list objective also tries to put on a stagnation point on my development task like expanding money living a adventurous life.

and at that point of time I will have to face the conflict of generativity versus stagnation so that I can use my earnings and values in my growth rather I will be in a point of stagnation.

And Erikson's theory also says that:-

Each stage in Erikson's theory builds on the preceding stages and paves the way for following periods of development. In each stage, Erikson believed people experience a conflict that serves as a turning point in development.

5)I think bucket list is a dynamic object which keeps on evolving every year but some of the important or solid objectives of bucketlist always remain the same so I think ok my bucket list will be also so in a dynamic nature it keeps ornevolving.

As we know that in every stage of life when we move from older stage to a newer stage then there is a conflicting situation and that conflicting situation put us in a situation to add a new objective or to remove the old objective from the bucket list.

For example if I haven't to the Caribbean according to my bucket list and in later stages if I want to move to new place or invest that money to more fruitful place then I will have to change my bucket list of objective.

Please forgive me for any spelling mistake and to comment for any sort of queries. Please give thumbs up if you like my efforts.
