Thinking about the rights of the individual versus the community good, I want you to consider the following: You have learned that your new neighbor has been exposed to ebola. They have refused treatment and are refusing to quarantine. They have refused to answer basic questions to public health workers about their exposure. The neighbor continues to interact with everyone as if nothing is wrong. Should they be forced to isolate? Should the government step in, if necessary, to force compliance of this neighbor and monitor them? Why or why not? Now replace ebola with COVID 19. Does this change your opinion? Why or why not?

Ebola and covid19 are 2 communicable viral disease which spread fastly than we asume. The main route of transmission of those 2 diseases are by came in contact with infected person or indirect contact through touching or handling the articles or objects that are infected.

So to prevent the pread of those disease conditions we need to avoid chances of come in contact with others. So we need to be in self quarantine. Social distancing is an important thing to avoid the spread of disease. While government or healthcare pofessionals cambelling people to get into quarantine there is some restrictions or problems developed in the rights of a person. every individual had a right to intract with others and go anywjere they want. But in case of covid19 spread we need to restrict the unwanted visit and travel to proptect the community from dangers.

Each people had their own privacy. If a person get infected by coronavirus the healthcare professionals needed to draw the route map of the person who is infected. So the patient need to explain each and every step or places they gone during the time before identifing infection. It may be a great distraction to the privacy of person in some cases. They may be not intreseted in open their minds to the healthcare team. This will affect the disease prevention badly. We cannot tract the disease spread and more of community people get infected from the unknown source.

So while controlling or preventing the spread of such diseases there is greater trobble occur in the human rights. But later it help in the community good too.
