Now that we are talking about Torts, I want you to consider the opiod crisis currently in the United States. In your "supplemental materials" tab (all the way at the bottom) is an article about the opiod epidemic. Please read this article and tell me how you would address this problem.

Answer: prescription drugs are essential for improving the health condition of patients . In united state opiod epidemic is a major problem . Due to prescription drug abuse , drug overdose causes major problems and sometimes it also causes death. As safety related to opiods is very poor and it provide very small improvement in human health . opiods use causes many major problems some are infertility, it causes minimal improvement in health . government is trying to provide safe and very effective pain management with safety and precaution taken into consideration. there is need for training in pain medicine in U S but it is available  only to a specialist in selected field. As prescription drug abuse is complex one. however prescribed drugs are often used for non medical purpose. National survey on drug use and health ( NSDUH) trying to find out the and capture the patients that are receiving opiods . To identify the actual patients who are using this for chronic pain is very necessary so that it cannot be used for non medical purpose . it need to be manufactured , marked and dispensed by professional and checked properly by many agency . system has been ineffective that is the reason of oversupply of prescription opiods to communities . it is a public health problem . Awareness about it should be spread among communities . one of the major reason for use of it is as non medical purpose is by family , friends . Many times children in home use it for non medical purpose . Federal government is funding to address the prescription drug misuse.
