Patterns of development helps us sort out information from paragraphs or essays.patterns can help to organize an outline or depending on the purpose they can determine the form that paragraph or essay can take.

Before starting to write it is helpful to determine the patterns of development .There are different patterns of development.

1. Cause and effect pattern.It is a type of pattern mostly used in development of essay related to diseases. Cause is a why something happened, Effect is what happened due to particular cause. Together they both used as cause and effect pattern of development. Important considerations in cause and effect pattern *Both should be related to same situation. *This can use in 3 forms ,cause to effect, effect to cause,consecutive cause and effect. *There may be many cause to one effect or same causes also have another effect,we have to determine that.

2 Classification and division. It is grouping of items which are belongs to same groups which are same type.It is useful in pharmacological explanation.Important consideration is particular name should be allotted for their group it may help to prevent conflict.

3.Compare and contrast. It means comparison.It will explain how two things are same or difference.

4. Definition : Definition Explain a concepts,term or object.

5.Description : It is helpful in describing something new to readers, like new innovation .Description give complete information about what it is something like an object, situation, person,or place.Descriptive paragraph has concrete and specific specific information.

6.Exemplification It provide typical causes or examples of some things.

7.Narration. Narration describe what,when,where something happened.It relates an incident or a series of events that leads to conclusion or ending.It contain action verbs,and transition word's that indicate time or sequence.example words are after next,then,meanwhile,short time later,there after ect.

Idea for narration type of essay.:It is in detail,give full explanation,it should be memorable. Example:First day of school, Memorable teacher,Special person ect.

8.Persuasion. It describes an issue and your position or opinion on the subject.

9.Process. It explain how something happened,how it works,or how it is made.
