Expalin prenatal development in your own words .
Answer- Prenatal development includes the entire process of development of an embryo to a baby. It includes several stages. The first stage is called Germinal stage. During conception a zygote is formed after a merge of sperm and an egg. In germinal stage, the cells move towards the uterus. This stage remains till second week of conception. The second stage is Embryonic stage. In this process, an organism is formed that is known as embryo. A structure known as placenta originates that provides nourishment to the embryo. This stage lasts from 3 to 8 weeks. During this stage, the embryo starts to develop and organs begins to form.
The third stage is known as Fetal stage. After nine weeks of pregnancy, the embryo becomes fetus and takes the form of a human being. All body parts become well developed. After 40 weeks, the fetus has very little space to move because of length and weight and becomes ready to take birth.
