The statement that the media are affected by industrial as well as political pressures means that the views and ideologies of different media sources are affected by the political as well as industrial pressure. The media houses are mainly funded by big industrialists or some are even funded by political parties or if not funded then they are recieving the support from the same. The media houses are necessary for the information and day to day happening for any society and these day to day happening are sometimes presented in a biased manner and this is done because these media housesare bounded due to the fund they recieve from industrialists and political parties. It is seen that media houses can also become the reason of the result of the elections as these media houses influence the campaign of the political parties and in almost every society the media houses are divided on the basis of ideologies on which they recieve the political and industrial support. It is seen that in US the media houses are divided into two main segments that is FOX News and CNN. In India the main media houses are India TV, Republic bharat and NDTV. The segmentation is basically done on the basis of ideologies of media houses which is either left or right wing suppporters and this ideology is influenced by the political party which is supporting a media house. It is seen in several cases where a media house represents a biased news for a industrialists who supports it. The example can be seen in India when Robert Vadra was involved in a scam but NDTV did show a biased report.
