Civil laws:It will be between the patient and nurse for wrong procedure and practice the patient will receive some compensation..
Legal practice for nurses:
Informed consent:It can be oral or written also..For special procedure and treatement,high risk,alternative treatment,special procedure and surgery consent must be obtained..It must be given by client..In case patient in difficult ssituation to give consent child can give if they are more than 18years..
Violence,abuse and neglect can be reported to the higher authority with appropriate situation..
Potential liability for nurses should be addressed like physician's order must be undrstand clearly..if you have doubt in order it must be clarified with supervisors
Floating(unfamiliar with nursing unit) must be corrected by proper orientation..Adequate staffing ratio for medical,critical and paediatric unit..
