The United States is moving towards the high quality and efficient health care system. The future healthcare system has to face a number of challenges. Technology plays an important role in the healthcare system. Technology access the sharing of information more rapidly and for the continuity of care. But it raises the organizational cost for the implementation and maintenance of network system. It increases the health care competition internationally. Further, the privacy and confidentiality are questionable. Advanced devices such as video conferencing, telehealth are not directly involved in patient care. It threats and violates the patient's health.
The implement of Universal coverage will increase the healthcare cost. In addition, the socioeconomic inequalities will increase the morbidity and mortality rates of U.S. Inequities in healthcare distribution, resource allocation forms a gap in the U.S healthcare system. Health disparities are another major problem among the U.S people. Difference in the healthcare availabilities between the Hispanic and non-Hispanic Americans. Workplace stress and job insecurity result in the shortage of primary care physicians.
Care of elderly people and management of chronic diseases not covered by the ACA. Insurance marketers must focus on healthy young adults rather than the needed people. The demographic, cultural differences, racial and ethnic differences increase the health disparities.
The political policies make diversities among the stakeholders. The policies increase the premium of the private insurers. Insurance does not cover the pre-existing condition. The poorer health policy forms a gap in the benefit of health care. Insurance market overhauling of healthcare policies. They targeting the providers for reimbursement. The health care system is moving slowly towards the private firms. Medicaid and Medicare regulatory services result in the high federal budget. Penalties for the non-insurers make the risk of citizens. Fraud and abuse will tighten the legal concerns.
