b. Clarissa was diagnosed with DIC while she was in the ICU with sepsis. She has multiple bruises and hemorrhages, but also has multiple blood clots causing organ necrosis. Please explain why.
c. Tell me about the cells that are diagnostic for Hodgkin lymphoma.
a.In Acute lymphoblastic leukemia the chanhes hapens in the blood .It leads to decreased red blood cells and decreased platelets.As a immune response the whiye blood cells increse to fight any infection.Hence the changes which can be observed in CBC are decreased platelets, decreased RBC ,elevated WBC
As RBC levels are decreased the hemoglobin production is decreased resulting in anemia. This leads to symptoms like fatigue.
b.In DIC the coagulation are affected .This cause fibrin production within the blood vessels which leads to thrombus formation. Hence this causes blood clots.
At the same time the coagulation factors is altered and the platelets are decreased leading to easy bruises and bleeding in this condition.
c.The cells which are diagnostic for Hodgkins lymphoma are Reed Sternberg cells.The cells are both gher in size compared to the normal cells in the lymphnode.It is one of the typical diagnostic indicator of Hodgkins lymphoma
