“Software Integration” is a procedure of merging two or more different software structures either mono-directional or bi-directional so that information and functionality flow among that system efficiently.
Using your own words, explain “Why there is a need for Software Integration” and list some cases where “Software Integration” can help the organizations.
"Software Integration" is a procedure of merging two or more diverse software systems either mono-directional or bi-directional so that data flows between the system smoothly.
In my opinion, The need for software integration happens in many cases,
By merging different Software Systems,In this case where an organisation may have to exhibit a Specific functionality of a Business need, which needs for Integration for various diverse system functionalities aimed at a specific business need.
By Integrating legacy systems with new-age applications,In this Digital era most companies look for solutions to modernize their legacy systems either by total transformation of their systems or by Integrating their legacy software systems with modern applications. If we want to do total transformation or migration, then Software Integration tools ensure smooth and secure parties for Integration. The hard case is Integration solutions is with legacy airline systems, which can't hold the risk of total digital transformation of their legacy systems. So in this case,Legacy airline systems go for software integration.
There are some cases where Software Integration can help the organisations:
1.Needs Multiple Data Entries into multiple systems.
2.Due to multiple systems, chances of doing mistakes is more with human interaction.
3.We need to spend a lot of time to maintain data in multiple systems.
4.The data flow between one system to another system will not happen in a timely fashion.
5.Want data to reflect on another system quickly on frequent basis.
6.Having complex domains such as finance, banking, insurance, travel, health care, telecom and retails etc..
